COVID-19 Ground Zero, New York

This conference workshop presentation features two experienced law enforcement-based EMS leaders on Long Island, NY discussing the impact of COVID-19. A novel coronavirus began in Wuhan China in late 2019. It spread to become a worldwide pandemic in early 2020. This strain was very contagious and presented with a broad span of clinical presentation. Some patients were asymptomatic and some at risk individuals died of respiratory failure. Because of the sudden emergency, no vaccine was available.
