Building Resiliency: A Leadership Strategy for Increasing Performance

This conference workshop presentation, featuring a panel of experts in the area of building resiliency, provides strategies for building resiliency in police personnel and throughout an agency. Information presented includes examples of tangible and successful resilience efforts. An integral part of maintaining and improving performance under stressful circumstances in police work is increasing the resiliency of officers. The panel combines research, the building of an agency-wide wellness program focused on resiliency, the challenges facing women in policing, and the complexity of changing culture in a large organization.
