About the Conference

The IACP Training Conference on Drugs, Alcohol, and Impaired Driving (DAID) is the largest training conference for drug recognition experts and provides law enforcement, prosecutors, traffic safety professionals, and physicians & toxicologists providing expertise in support of the prosecution of impaired drivers, with a forum in which to share information, countermeasures, and best practices for reducing drug- and alcohol-impaired driving. The 2021 DAID Conference will take place both virtually and in-person in Orlando, FL.

Who should attend? 

Attendance is open to IACP DRE section members, and qualified nonmembers, who have a professional interest in the Drug Evaluation and Classification (DEC) Program, support the mission of the IACP DRE Section, and support traffic safety efforts, including: 1) currently certified Drug Recognition Experts, 2) physicians, 3) prosecutors, 4) toxicologists, 5) sworn law enforcement officers, 6) first responders, 7) civilian employees of public safety agencies*, or 8) local, state, or federal governmental agencies which receive funding for the DEC program. Other individuals who maintain a direct professional supportive interest in the DEC program, including DRE Emeritus or DRE Ambassadors, may submit a request to attend. 

* Public Safety includes offices of police, sheriffs, EMS, fire service, hazmat and park rangers from federal, state, city, county, campus, and tribal agencies, and members of the armed forces.

What is included in the price?

DAID registration includes access to over 40 pre-recorded workshops in the online platform during the three (3) day event. Registration also includes the ability to view these workshops for three months after the event (through November 16, 2021).

In-person registration includes all of the above workshops delivered live and access to the three (3) day in-person event in Orlando, FL. This includes access to all plenary sessions, Exposition Hall, and exclusive workshops only available at the in-person event.

Group Discount Rates

GROUP REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE AT THE END OF THE DAY WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 11, 2020. 

Register multiple people from your agency and receive a discounted per person rate. Group registration options are only available for Virtual Conference registration. IACP membership is required to purchase the discounted group package. The registrant will receive a coupon code to apply to registration for each individual within the group. 

Group of 5: $1250 total ($250 each)

Group of 10: $2350 total ($235 each)

Group of 15: $3450 total ($230 each)

Group of 20: $4500 total ($225 each)

IACP Meeting and Event Safety Protocols

IACP is working closely with partners and vendors to adhere to CDC, state, and local guidelines, which currently includes health and safety protocols. Mandatory adherence to these protocols for all in-person event attendees is in place. During the registration process, you will be required to agree to these. As the United States continues on a positive trajectory, these protocols may be lessened. Protocols in effect during the in-person event will be shared with registered attendees prior to the event. Photo, Image, and Recording Disclaimer

Registration and attendance at IACP events constitutes an agreement by the registrant to the IACP’s use and distribution (both now and in the future) of the registrant or attendee’s image or voice in photos, images, video, and/or audio recordings of such events without compensation or approval rights. All photos, images, and recordings are the property of IACP. This applies to registrants of both the in-person and virtual events. 

Refund Policy for In-Person Registration

All cancellations must be made in writing and mailed, faxed (703-836-4543), or e-mailed (Attendee: DAIDConference@theiacp.org; Exhibitors: lipped@theIACP.org) to the IACP headquarters. A penalty will apply. No telephone cancellations will be accepted. It will take a minimum of six weeks to receive a refund.

A 25% penalty will be assessed on all cancellations postmarked or fax/e-mail dated on or before June 30, 2021.

A 50% penalty will be assessed on cancellations postmarked or fax/e-mail dated July 1, 2021 – August 3, 2021.

No refunds will be issued on or after August 4, 2021. No refunds will be given for no-shows.

Registration may be transferred to another person in your organization by written request to IACP prior to August 4, 2021. After this date all changes must be made at the conference. Additional charges may apply.

Refund Policy for Virtual Registration

Refunds will not be issues for the virtual program. The platform will be available to registrants to view programming for three months after the event.
